Annual Meeting
Each year our association seeks to conduct business at an annual meeting in the late summer or early fall. The purpose of the meeting is to elect directors from among the timeshare owners, to discuss and approve a budget for the following fiscal year, and to discuss and vote on any issues relating to the operation of our owner controlled timeshare owners assoication. Our governing documents requires that a quorum of 25% of all timeshare interest owners be present either in person or via proxy in order to conduct business at this meeting.
Regrettably, our association consistenly fails to acheive a quorum at this meeting and therefore no business can be officially conducted. When this occurs, the existing directors terms of service are extended until the next election and the proposed budget is adopted without a vote of the owners.
Owners are encouraged to attend the meeting in person or to send a proxy appointing any adult who will be attending the meeting to vote their interest. Owners are welcome to appoint any current director as their proxy and to include directions to that director regarding how their votes should be cast. All of the current directors have agreed to vote any proxies they are assigned in accordance with that owners wishes.
The next annual meeting is scheduled for August 22, 2015 at 11am. The meeting will be held at the resort in the conference center on the second floor of the amenities building.
Java with the GM
Each week, Diana Cherveny, the Resort General Manager, invites owners to an informal information session during which she provides an update regarding the happenings at the resort. This venue provides owners an opportunity to hear the latest in resort news, to ask questions about the resort and how to get the most from your ownership interest. Topics include recent improvements to the resort, tips for exchanging with Interval International, advise for buying additional weeks or selling unwanted weeks, and updates from recent board meetings. This is NOT a disguised sales presentation; it really is a meeting where owners ask questions and get answers. Note that we do not guarantee happy answers nor answers that you want to hear; sometimes the truth works that way.
